A New Chapter: SAFMI First Milestone in Registration Journey in the UK

SAFMI is beginning an exciting new chapter with the relocation of our office to the very center of Freetown—Walpole Street. Known for being one of the most central and accessible parts of the city as the road leads directly to government offices.

At our new location, we will be able to welcome anyone who wishes to collect a water tank with Gambusia fish and make their home safer from malaria. Being in the heart of the city means easier access for families, hospitals, schools, and community groups who want to participate in this sustainable initiative.

The move was no small task. Our team successfully transferred all of our equipment, aquariums, and most importantly, our Gambusia fish. To ensure their continued health, we installed a brand-new water filtration system in the new office, providing the perfect environment for the fish to thrive. Healthy Gambusia mean stronger protection for the people of Freetown.

This relocation is more than just a change of address—it symbolizes growth and progress by bringing our mission even closer to the people we serve. With a more central presence, SAFMI is positioning itself as a resource that is open and accessible to everyone. Our new office will not only distribute tanks but also serve as a space for education and awareness, where visitors can learn more about how biological solutions like Gambusia fish are reshaping the fight against malaria. Together, from Walpole Street, we are building momentum toward a malaria-free Sierra Leone.

We welcome the community to visit us at our new location—because every tank we give out is another step toward saving lives and creating a healthier future for all.
